Élevage du ruisseau is a family-oriented kennel located in the countryside, just 40 minutes outside Montreal. Owners Nancy Schinck and Mario Robidoux established the kennel in the summer of 2009, when Mario’s passion for large breed Collies resurfaced. Having bred for several years in the past, he decided to restart a breeding kennel raising Rough Collies. In 2005, Nancy discovered
and fell in love with the Weimaraner breed, and
adopted Zelda a female Weimaraner. For
Christmas 2009, Mario surprised Nancy with
Kenya, Élevage du ruisseau’s
first breeding female
Weimaraner.

Élevage du ruisseau breeds dogs of the highest possible quality, free of genetic defects, and respectful of each breed’s standards. All our dogs are selected for their temperaments and genetic backgrounds. Our dogs are tested for DNA abnormalities, have ophthalmologic eye exams, and OFA testing at two years of age. We strongly believe in the quality of our progenitors, and we offer a written three-year guarantee against hereditary defects and serious illnesses.

We take our dogs’ well-being to heart. Each one is an integral part of the family. We all live together, in and around the house. Our dogs enjoy daily play in our very large yard, and have access to neighbouring ancestral land.

We thank the breeders who have entrusted us with their pedigrees.

“In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.”   Anon
